* NEW * Congregational singing will once again be encouraged in our services. You must keep your mask on properly, covering chin, mouth and nose.
Anyone attending worship at Woodroffe United Church and over the age of twelve will have to present proof of at least their two COVID vaccinations and proof of identification. Either the paper or electronic proof of vaccination issued by the provincial ministry of health and bearing the QR code is acceptable if issued at least fourteen days prior to presentation. Proof need only be presented once - not on any subsequent Sundays you worship at Woodroffe. Worshippers with a medical exemption should so indicate to the people at the registration desks.
- There is no church school at this time
- Our Sunday services do not require advance registration.
- Try to arrive between 9:40 and 9:55. The entry doors are locked at 10 am.
- Please enter by the East door from the parking lot. When you come in, you will be met by the person responsible that day for COVID screening, ensuring use of the hand sanitizer and marking the sign-in sheet to allow for contact tracing. Greeters will point out where to pick up a bulletin and leave your offering.
- The congregation sits physically distanced, wears masks while indoors. We ask that you take your coats into the Sanctuary.
- Sanctuary windows and doors will be left open to allow for better air circulation.
- Hymns are sung by soloists or small groups with appropriate distancing. Hymn books and bibles are available in the pews.
- We have developed a COVID-safe approach to Communion.
- There is no fellowship time indoors and we ask you not to visit in the narthex, but you can socialize outdoors right after service.
- Sunday services are recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel, usually within a few hours of the service.
Our reopening committee reviews current public health recommendations and will modify protocols as necessary until we can return to normal services.
