Meet the staff - Woodroffe United Church 



Pamela Hoswitschka, Director of Music/Organist

Pamela completed her undergraduate studies in music at the University of Ottawa and is an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. In 1989, she completed her degree of Master of Music at McGill University, Montreal. Her teachers have included Dr. Godfrey Hewitt, Dr. Patricia Phillips, Dr. Mark Toews, Dr. John Grew and Prof. Jean Ferrard (Belgium). In 1990, Ms. Hoswitschka was winner of the John Robb Organ Competition which was held at St. Joseph's Oratory in Montreal. She has given recitals in Canada and Germany and has been heard in concert on the CBC. In 1993, she was general editor for the publication of Music for Wedding Services, an ecumenical collection of organ and vocal music published by Novalis at St. Paul's University. Her duties at Woodroffe United Church commenced in September of 1990.

Woodroffe's Music Program includes the Senior Choir, Handbell Choir (the Chromatic Clappers), sight-reading classes and three Music Break Groups for youth: Joyful Noise Choir, Church 'R Us Choir and Music and More.
