Attention! Wool Needed: If you come across any surplus knitting yarn in your
Spring cleaning, please leave it at the church for the Sewing group and the
knitting table. It will be used to make items for the bazaar.

Honorary Elders Spring Meeting, Sunday, April 18 at 12 Noon: At the Spring
meeting of the Honorary Elders, Rev. Don Boyd will give a talk on the “Dead
Sea Scrolls” - a lively subject for anyone with an interest in the early
history of Christianity.
Rev. Don Boyd has been interested in the Dead Sea scrolls for many years.
We look forward to his visit to Woodroffe for our Spring meeting and to his
fascinating talk.
Welcome - On behalf of Woodroffe United Church The Ministry and Personnel
Committee is very pleased to introduce B. J. (Betty Jean) Vermue as our new
Church Secretary effective Tuesday, March 30. B. J. will be working 30 hours
per week. B. J. and her husband Bill have recently returned to Ottawa from
Guelph, Ontario. B. J. brings with her many years of experience working in
an office environment. She is a long standing member of the United Church of
Canada. We welcome her to Woodroffe. Please do not hesitate to drop by the
office and introduce yourself.
